I looked briefly at the patching for the CS Step Seq patch and felt fairly overwhelmed, lol. Don’t just take our word for it Polyrhythmus has been voted as one of the top Max For Live devices on. ![]() Instead might be better use of the 16 pads to have it operate just as Maschine always does if you have a 1bar loop with 16th notes, then if you could change the pitch like the Base parameter on the 'CS Step Seq' patch, you could basically program drums one at a time in Ableton or any other sequencer in close to the same style as a 909, etc.) Steps in a sequencer can also be manipulated by the steps of another, making it a very powerful and creative tool. You know where the vertical axis=pitch and the horizontal=time. As 4 rows of 4 steps across might not be very useful, using the same layout as the APC/Launchpad might not be the best way. ![]() ![]() (40 felt a little stifling even- I like good old-fashioned 16 steps across, like a 303/909! Which may bring up an idea, or perhaps a problem. Although 16 pads might get limiting, it would still be pretty cool. ![]() Please explain!Īlso, having used the 'CS Step Sequencer' Max patch with the M4L Beta and my APC-40, the first thing I thought was that it would be pretty cool to use Maschine in this way, as well. Click to expand. When did this happen? Is this something you or somebody else made with the Max4Live Beta or something? I certainly never got the red rectangle in Ableton when I was using the Maschine Ableton template, so I'm very curious about how you did this.
